Tactics and Gear(s), for those who protect.

If you have not seen this before you need to see it and even better, FEEL it yourself. This is the Compliant Technology’s G.L.O.V.E. – Generated Low Output Voltage Emitter. From their website, it says “The G.L.O.V.E. quickly transforms into a CD3 (Conductive Distraction and De-escalation Device) when used within the Force Continuum to supplement existing tools for law enforcement, corrections, security, EMS and the military. It is available as an “invisible partner” to enhance the user’s effectiveness when operating within their agencies’ already established tactics, techniques and procedures. This is why we call the G.L.O.V.E. the “Force Multiplier” and how it operates within the Force Continuum as “The New Protocol in Peace Keeping.”

I personally came across the device about 1.5 years ago at the Major County Sheriffs Association’s Conference in Washington DC. When I first saw it, I was skeptical just as everyone else would have been. Then I worked up the courage and decided to give it a shot myself, and gosh.. This thing WORKS! Within split of a second, I was on the floor whining.  

I think where this device can come in handy are:

• Correctional facility
• Patrol environment when you need to go hands on with non-compliant individuals
• Possible animal control and apprehension? 😅 Will need to test this out, I”m not sure if it can be conductive through fur. 

Of course proper training and guidance needs to be put in place so it’s properly used accordingly to agency policies. What I can see this being very valuable is the “optics” of it. The operation of it is silent, quiet, very non-combative. 

It’s definitely got a lot of potential, and at least worth a look at your agency/ department.
